How long have you been doing what you do, and how did you become a Therapeutic Movement Specialist and Holistic Health Coach?

To answer this question, it’s best that I share with you a defining moment and a resulting 14+ year journey.  That journey brought me where I am today – coaching people just like you on exactly what to do to live life pain-free, release stress, and have rock solid  health and youthful energy.  Through my coaching, you will learn to take ownership of your body and to be captain of your ship!  

Wouldn’t it be great to determine your course and destination rather than allowing the winds to determine your fate?  

My defining moment took shape at a very low point in my own life and health.  It all started in 2006 when I was the mom of a 3 yr. old and a newborn baby.  After the birth of my daughter 11 years ago, I felt compelled to begin something new- I began losing my identity and getting depressed.  I was desperate to stay sane and still be a great mom! A deep fire from within and higher calling motivated me. As a result, I started teaching Pilates after having great success in resolving my own debilitating back pain. I am still pain-free and have avoided surgery since 1993!  I immediately loved the feeling that teaching Pilates gave me – it helped me develop a sense of myself and my life’s purpose. 

I was passionate about teaching and coaching people just like you to get out of pain and be healthy! I found myself energized and empowered to do more and be more.  

I discovered I was fascinated by the human body and had a hunger for knowledge about health and movement. Thus, over the past 14+ years, while teaching, I have pursued more and more education, integrated it into my life, and taught it.  This passion organically grew my own wellness practice, serving those who came to me in need.

Another epiphany came to me in 2013 when I was sick all the time. I tried elimination diets, had multiple medical tests, allergy shots and was taking antibiotics for recurrent infections and losing weight to dangerous levels.  I knew something was wrong and I had to take action, fearing I would end up with some life-threatening disease and not be able to take care of my kids. This was also at a point in my life that I lost a close friend to breast cancer and I resolved I would do everything in my power to defy my own family’s legacy of breast cancer.   In addition to my staple of mindful movement, I started looking at the food I ate, de-stressing my life, removing harmful thought patterns and used aromatherapy and energy work to help me improve my health. I began to use essential oils, detoxed my life and, to my amazement, was able to go drug-free shortly after!

Recently, I’ve made the decision to reach past the physical boundaries of my studio business and help many more women get out of pain and experience healing and optimal health through holistic health coaching.

Every proactive, health-minded woman in her midlife years who experiences some combination of physical or emotional pain needs to apply to break the vicious cycle of pain and unhappiness that prevents them from living their best life.The potential benefits of going through this program are limitless because the body, brain, and spirit are all interrelated and connected.

To facilitate the release of pain, my system starts with looking at the physical body, and then explores deeper to identify the emotions and beliefs that are at the root of your pain. Since I have dedicated my life to helping women feel good in their bodies, I have experienced great joy in seeing them take back control of their health and wellbeing, enjoy more mobility, experience less or no pain and ultimately have the tools, confidence, and empowerment to change their path in all aspects of their body’s health and heart’s happiness.

I work with women just like you who may be in pain or who want to elevate their health to a new level. 

  • Women who believe they have value and are willing and able to spend time and money on themselves to make their life better and feel well
  • Women who have experienced some trauma in their lives and carried it with them. They have noticed that they also have physical discomfort and their health is starting to suffer
  • Women who want to feel physically and mentally strong as they age and are willing to take whatever action is needed to do so.

What makes you different from other “Wellness Coaches”?

Although we may occasionally touch on things like nutrition, diet and food tips as other wellness coaches do, you will have me primarily as your therapeutic movement specialist and holistic health coach. My personal 20+year journey has allowed me to dial in on the changes that make the greatest impact in my client’s, pain, health and happiness. I work on the inner emotional-spiritual and outer physical body for releasing stress and pain. Thus, my approach looks at your body alignment, movement, mobility as well as your mindset from an integrated organic and spiritual perspective. What that means to you is that you get a grounded freedom and holistic health coach. I’m caring and compassionate, but know, you’ll always get a straightforward and honest response from me. I’m concerned with how to eliminate your pain and helping you develop lifetime skills to stay grounded and free of the emotional baggage that affects how you feel, what you do for your body and your overall health. My greatest desire is for you learn how to get and remain pain free, be empowered to stay healthy and live your best life. You may not like what I have to say – but you can be sure I will always tell you the truth and guide you to discover your truth. This is what’s standing in the way of your success and ridding yourself of whatever is holding you back from living exuberantly with joy and happiness in your life.

What type of personality do you work best with and what is expected of me?

The Complete Mind-Body Transformation 12 Mo. Program (CMBT) was created for you if you are absolutely excited and dead serious about finding freedom from pain, enjoying an active life, and willing to make the lifestyle changes required to reach your health and fitness goals.  It means not sabotaging yourself  anymore saying: “I ‘hurt too much to do that, or I may hurt my … more if I … or “My body is just not able to …and I will have to stop …” This program was created for you to put systems in place within a few months (sometimes weeks!), which will eventually lead you to, having less or no pain, feeling 10 years younger, feeling stronger, confident, positive about your future and motivated to stay active. Being a proactive health minded active person myself, I’m known to work best with other proactive and health minded individuals. These people are committed to their success no matter what. They are eager to get going and just want to know exactly what steps are needed to meet their goals. My successful clients often tell me – “just tell me what to do and I’ll do it!” Consider what you’ll being doing with me a high-octane crash course on everything you need to know to feel great and do the things you love. You will be expected to take serious and consistent action. No excuses anymore- just a very different way of thinking. For what type of people are your programs NOT going to work?

Please know I’m very selective and I cherry-pick my clients, choosing to (gently) turn away people who aren’t suited for my programs and won’t get the results they would have signed up for. (It wouldn’t be fair to them.) The Get Out of Pain & Into Joy – 90 day Program is NOT for those who need medical treatment.  If you have acute injury requiring surgery or have an acute condition, I advise you to get cleared first by a physician to do physical exercise and enroll in my program. I will not diagnose, prescribe, or treat medical or health conditions. If you have thoughts of suicide, please seek medical help. If you are not physically able to get down and up from the floor you may need to consult with a physical therapist to be able to do some of the exercises in my program.  If you have no money coming in and are absolutely, financially desperate, I suggest you not enroll, at least not right away. It’s been my experience that people in financial crisis do not trust the recommendations I give them and do not do the work (probably because they spend so much time worrying about where they are going to get next month’s rent check or mortgage payment.) If you fall within this category, it’s OK. We’ve all been in times of financial crisis at one point or another. Do yourself (3) favors:

Get some money coming in with a full-time or part-time job at the very least, and then call me. This will take the edge off and provide a little more peace of mind. Mostly, it will de-clutter your mind enough to focus on your attacking your barriers, doing the exercises, and staying focused on the BIG picture.

Make a point to join my free Facebook group: The Optimized Mind and Body.  This group will get you started and give you LOTS to think about.  Group member will also be the first to know about my Free Challenges, Zoominars, and Special Promotions.
Doing these two things will really help you get primed for our work. When you’re ready, call me and we’ll get you started. (I’m in no rush and will be here when you need me.)

Personalities I won’t work with (without exception) are the whiner or the chronic skeptic, as well as individuals who constantly make excuses for not getting their exercises done or challenge every aspect of the program. If you are one of these people, I gently and respectfully ask that you not call and I hope you understand why. We’ll probably just not work well together, and I wouldn’t want you to waste your time or money. Is that fair?

What exactly is Get out of Pain & Into Joy 90-day system and what does it include?

#1 – Setting Goals and Baseline Testing

If we don’t know where we are headed, we will never get there and if we don’t have a map we may get lost along the way.

Writing down specific goals and objectives helps us to determine along the way if we are taking the correct route and keeps you motivated and accountable.

At the end of the program, it makes for a great motivator to continue your new path because it will give you an objective view of all you have accomplished.

The simple physical baseline tests we will do in the beginning and frequently along the way give us instant and valuable feedback about your own body and what it needs.

#2 – Discover What’s Holding You back

We will get into the juicy meat of what you have done in the past, and why you are not where you want to be mentally, physically, and spiritually.

You will learn to identify your mental gremlins and develop strategies to release them. Over the 3 months you will form new habits and gain new tools which will help you avoid mindset madness and negative self-talk. My goal is to open you up to higher frequency living!

#3 – Connecting the dots: Postural Analysis to Feelings, Emotions & Pain

I will use my developed eye as I do a postural and movement assessment to identify the root of your issues.

It is important the I evaluate your posture in sitting and standing and how you walk and perform various other movements to ascertain your daily functional habits and patterns.

We will Identify and explore the feelings and emotions relating to your main pain points and your body image.

#4 – Removing Blockages

You will learn simple ways to release emotional roadblocks identified in #2 and connections made in #3. You will also learn how to reprogram your body-mind and affirm what you do want and your successes. Using this process in a consistent daily practice is crucial to your progress. You will also be introduced and given a few essential oil blends to aid you in this process.

#5 – Homework

You will have step by step videos to watch which will teach you important skills to get out of pain and maintain, pain free. These videos will show you how to do the exercises I have used to help my students over the past 11 years banish pain and live well. You will have tools to keep you accountable and on track if you ever get lost.

I will also provide support via email where you will get accountability and encouragement through regular check-ins.

#6 – You will have 9 online one on one coaching sessions

This is where you will have my personal guidance and coaching specific to your needs.

The body heals in layers and the mind -body will shift as you learn.  After we peel back the first layer a new one to work on will appear.

New exercises and videos will be opened to you as you progress through the program, so you will be able to pace yourself according to your learning style.

#7 – Check in & Celebrate

Each month during our hour coaching session we will revisit your Goals and Objectives, identify your successes, and any adjustments we need to make because of those successes.

It is always good to remember where you came from, in order for you to fully realize the gains you have made because of your hard work.

This practice will not only motivate you through the program but encourage you to take your next step when the program is finished.

How quickly can I expect results?

That depends on how quickly you can make those inner shifts and physical connections. Some clients are ready to go and get out of pain in a very short period, sometimes even a few weeks while others have a bit more work to do first. It also depends on where you, your body and mind are starting from, how long you have been in pain, if you have had past injuries or trauma and how deeply your inner gremlins are rooted.

How can I guarantee myself that I get pain relief in record time?

Do all of your homework. Be totally committed to your success. Understand that this is a process, a proven one, that works if you take action (the sooner the easier) and implement all of the steps.  Each person comes into the program with a unique history and situation, but all my clients who have diligently applied my teaching and who were coachable have substantially lessened their pain and increased their mobility, in much less time than they would have on their own AND over time, many have been able to resume an active pain free lifestyle.
